Out of the Flames. 24" x 30"

Oil, cold wax and gold foil on cradled wood.

After painting another picture my palette was full of colour. There was left over orange paint that hadn't been used. When I started this painting I had no idea what it would become. As I worked I could see flames evolving, perhaps it had something to do with the awful wild fires that were happening in Australia at the time.
