Blind Faith

Abstract painting in oil, cold wax and gold foil.

It was exciting to see this painting come together. When painting abstractly evolution of the canvas surface is important. I have no agenda except that it has to be interesting, good and satisfying. Once it becomes something I like, the process slows down in order to keep the interesting areas and to make a cohesive painting. Most artists will say it is hard to know when a painting is finished and it really is!
